As September 11, 2012 quickly approaches, this photo taken during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2011 is worth sharing. It almost needs no explanation . . . and I felt a bit intrusive even snapping the picture. Capturing this mans STRENGTH, DETERMINATION & PERSERVERENCE to walk in the parade, while obviously crippled, was one of the most INSPIRING moments of my trip to NYC. His wheelchair was his saftey net ~ and it was close . . . but he chose to walk. Hat's off to the numerous men and women who choose to WALK everyday and continue to move their lives forward.
